While flowers may be naturally grown, they are not always an earthfriendly choice. There are a few reasons why flowers may not be sustainable. If they are grown far away and took a lot of resources to preserve and transport. In many cases, they have also been treated with toxic chemicals and pesticides!
Paper flowers do not require chemicals and water last for a very loooong time.
We believe these FSC paper flowers might be the better choice for our planet, when comparing this to some natural flowers.

Why are this flower called Ruth ?
Well, we have decided to name our flowers after some Super Power Women and Ruth Bader Ginsburg was certainly a very special woman in history, especially regarding gender equality. She was born in 1933 in Brooklyn, New York in a low-income, working class neighborhood and worked her way up to becoming the second female justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
At Harvard Law, Ginsburg had to balance life as a mother and her new role as a law student, while her husband was away on military duty. At Harvard she encountered a very male-dominated and even hostile environment, with only eight females in her class of 500. She always felt that she was being watched.
Despite it all, she graduated at the top of her class from Columbia, she became the first person on both Harvard and Columbia Law Review. She fought for pay equality for herself and her fellow professors and co-founded the ACLU's Women’s Rights Project. Ginsburg also passionately fought for the rights of the LGBT community, undocumented people, disabled people.
